Our mission is simple: to offer a home-from-home atmosphere where every child is treated with kindness, respect, and understanding. We aim to make the early years a memorable and joyful experience that sets the foundation for lifelong learning. 

At Daisy Day Nursery, our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can grow, learn, and explore at their own pace. We believe that children thrive when they feel happy, valued, and supported, which is why we focus on:

• Encouraging happiness & confidence– We create a warm and loving space where children feel secure, develop self-confidence, and learn to become independent by doing things for themselves.

• Championing children’s rights & British values – Our approach is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring children learn about their rights, fairness, democracy, and respect.

• Building strong relationships– Our Key Workers work closely with each child and their family, providing individualized care and fostering a sense of trust and security.
• Encouraging confidence & positive behaviour – We celebrate and praise children for their achievements and kindness, reinforcing positive behaviour in a nurturing way.
• Promoting independence– We encourage children to take small but important steps towards independence, such as washing their hands, brushing their teeth, and making choices, all under the gentle guidance of their Key Worker.
• Following the EYFS framework– We provide tailored educational experiences that support each child’s learning and developmental needs, allowing them to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.
• Observing and supporting individual progress – Our team carefully plans, observes, and assesses each child's development, documenting their journey in Individual Learning Journals to celebrate their achievements.
• Providing a secure yet flexible learning environment – Through play-based learning in an age-appropriate setting, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

With small class sizes and a high staff-to-child ratio, we ensure that each child receives the care, attention, and encouragement they need to thrive.
